About Me
ACTOR • PLAYWRIGHT • EDUCATOR
I was born and raised in Avon, Ohio and went on to attend Kent State University as an Honors student where I majored in Theatre Performance and minored in Pre-law and Philosophy.
Over the course of my career, I have participated in a number of different productions serving as different roles for each. Notably, I was the dramaturg for Kent State’s 2022 production of Much Ado About Nothing, was the Evil Wizard in the experimental all-audio show: Inside the Box, and served as a head figure in several organizations, including as the Kent State Nursing Sims Student Coordinator, President of Transforum Theatre, and Secretary for BATSA (Bachelor of the Arts Theatre Student Association) and All-in on the Kent State campus.
Recently, I have been doing a great deal of work regarding Shakespeare. I had the opportunity to partner with Dr. Yuko Kurahashi and the SURE (Summer Undergraduate Research Experience) program to create the book: Conjuring Shakespeare’s Kings, Witches, and Fools, a free online resource book that aims to make Shakespeare more accessible to students and teachers in high school and collegiate classrooms. It has been published under the new title of Educators' and Learners' Guide to Shakespeare through Stagings and Adaptations and is available for viewing through my website and through the Open Access Kent State Library. My hope is that people will be able to use this resource to better understand and appreciate the works of Shakespeare.
Through the SURE program, I was entered into a 3-minute thesis competition, where I had just 3 minutes to explain my work and the benefit it would bring. My work on Conjuring Shakespeare’s Kings, Witches, and Fools won first place in my division.
I also recently authored A Midsummer Day’s Awakening, a full 5 act play written in Shakespearean English and Iambic Pentameter that tells the story of what occurs directly after the events of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I have been interviewed about this works several times, including twice on The Research Review, a podcast that features upcoming researchers and the work they have accomplished.
